This role offers the chance to lead and elevate the organization’s visual identity across digital, physical, and experiential brand touchpoints. The Manager, Creative Design will drive innovative creative direction, oversee the development of cohesive brand assets and platforms, and collaborate cross functionally to translate strategic objectives into compelling visual experiences. **Work Arrangements:**This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the development and execution of creative strategies that support the organization’s brand experience across all platforms and touchpoints.
  • Oversee the creation, implementation, and consistency of visual assets for advertising, corporate merchandise, marketing materials, digital content, and business collateral.
  • Collaborate with internal partners—including UX/UI, marketing, product, and executive stakeholders—to ensure creative solutions align with business objectives and enhance the customer journey.
  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring all creative outputs meet regulatory requirements, quality standards, and reflect the organization’s identity.
  • Direct the evolution of digital and physical brand experiences, including the corporate website, digital asset libraries, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure timely and high-quality production of creative assets and merchandise.
  • Implement agile or waterfall workflows to optimize creative processes, ensuring efficient delivery and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Oversee the training, development, and performance management of creative team members, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report on operational risks related to creative outputs, maintaining effective controls and compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Ensure responsible budget management for creative projects and departmental expenses.
  • Ensure prompt, quality, productive service in all reporting departments
  • Ensure operational compliance with all application legislation and accessibility regulations
  • Ensure responsible human resource management, including recruiting, performance management, reward and recognition, and talent management in reporting departments and with direct reporting leaders
  • Ensure diligent budget management of expenses.

What you’ll bring:

  • Post secondary education, preferably in design or significant experience is lieu.
  • 5 – 10 years of experience in management.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Excellent artistic skills both physical and digital.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to negotiate with and influence others
  • Understanding of the insurance industry, including its issues, distributors, competitors, products, legislation is an asset.
  • Strong risk management and exception analysis/decision making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, all with varying business requirements and skill set requirements.
  • Ability to balance multiple deadlines and manage multiple departments and priorities.
  • Excellent knowledge of the departments within the enterprise.
  • Superior knowledge of workflows and process improvement.

Your base pay will be based on your skills, qualifications, experience and education. In addition to your salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award tied to business performance, plus a wide range of competitive benefits.
