Omnitrans is currently searching for a Customs Brokerage Regulatory Advisor to join our Technical & Consulting Services in Montreal or Toronto.
Responsibilities :
- Respond to internal and external client queries with advice and opinions on technical issues.
- Conduct research and provide proper opinion and plan of action for specific cases/requests pertaining to tariff classification, tariff treatment and customs value.
- Resolve customer complaints and disputes in an effective and timely manner (e.g., tariff classification, customs valuation, and origin/free trade agreements, etc.).
- Identify opportunities for revenue generating consulting projects and pursue in partnership with Sales &/or Technical Consultants.
- Monitor consulting projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.
- Update client profiles when Customs regulations are modified.
- Coordinate the set up and processing of K32 drawback claims.
- Follow-up with clients and CBSA for information and status.
- Perform other duties as required, such as photocopying, scanning, and distributing data reports etc.
What you bring:
- College diploma
- Completion of CCS or CTCS an asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a customs brokerage environment
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Extensive knowledge of Customs regulations
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, organize
