Sous Chef – Shark Club Vancouver
Join the Leadership Team at One of Vancouver’s Busiest Sports Bars
At Shark Club Vancouver, we pride ourselves on delivering an energetic atmosphere, exceptional hospitality, and chef-driven food in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. We’re looking for a passionate, driven, and hands-on culinary leader to join our Leadership Team and help lead one of the city’s busiest kitchens.

What You’ll Do
Working closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership team, your responsibilities will include:
- Executing menu items to Shark Club standards across both prep and line stations
- Leading day-to-day culinary operations during service while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
- Ensuring consistency, freshness, quality control, and food safety at all times
- Supporting labour, food cost, sales, and profit targets
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing kitchen team members and future leaders
- Assisting with hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling across multiple kitchen positions
- Creating a positive, high-performance culture built on accountability, teamwork, and communication
- Leading by example during high-volume service periods with confidence and composure
What We’re Looking For
- Previous leadership experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant or bar
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for quality execution
- Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams
- Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stay organized and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and creating a supportive workplace culture
- A hands-on leadership style with a willingness to jump in wherever needed
