Job summary
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the incumbent leads global manufacturing launch initiatives and drives technological advancement in machining, assembly, and magnesium die-casting processes. The incumbent may manage a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring competitive advantage through innovation, sustainability, and process optimization. Responsibilities include standardizing best practices, ensuring new launches follow established standards and supporting customer requirements from concept through SOP.
Responsibilities of the role
Act as global project lead for new product launches, ensuring timing, cost, and quality targets. Act as technical lead for CNC machining, assembly, and die-casting process development. Champion sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency and waste reduction. Set priorities and monitor compliance with approved methods and quality standards. Serve as technical liaison for OEMs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Support customer engineering changes and quality concerns using structured problem-solving
Education, experience, skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Master’s degree in Mechanical/ Industrial/ Metallurgical Engineering 5-10 years of Engineering/ Manufacturing/ Business experience in the automotive industry 3+ years of experience with high pressure die casting process
