About the role
Marshall Land Systems requires an Assistant Project Manager in Moncton, NB to join our team. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Assistant Project Manager will actively support the Program Manager in the successful delivery of the project by supporting the Integrated Project Planning & Control activities, as well as provide planning reports and metrics to satisfy the project and contractual requirements and undertake appropriate analysis to identify timely corrective actions where necessary.
The Assistant Project Manager will develop & manage Key Process Indicators (KPIs) to support executing programs & initiatives, as well as ensure projects & programs deliver on planned objectives & outcomes.
Your responsibilities in this role:
- Collaborate with program managers and other team members to gather project data, analyze requirements, and monitor deliverables and milestones.
- Manage and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and technical specifications.
- Manage updates or revisions to the main project collaborative environment.
- Establish & manage project plans that satisfy business requirements & commitments.
- Manage the implementation and on-going maintenance of PMO meetings (as defined in the Communication plan) with support from the Program Managers; including review, update, and monitor action items arising from meetings.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Monitor and report on project progress for contract deliverables, identifying and addressing any issues or deviations from the plan.
- Monitor and report on project performance using KPIs, providing early identification of performance issues.
- Assist in the creation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key deliverables, metrics and performance indicators.
- Collaborate with program managers and other team members to support reporting for Estimates to Completion (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC).
- Engage with and gain commitments from project stakeholders.
- Provide regular performance and resource demand updates.
- Coordinate and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure procedural compliance in accordance with the applicable Management System (Quality Management System) and Project Management Methodology.
- Support Estimates to Completion (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC).
- Support effective project risk, opportunity, and change management activities.
- Support ad-hoc duties that will be consistent with the nature of the position within Marshall.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated Project Management knowledge with moderate experience supporting the delivery projects, with at least three (3) years of experience in similar industries and environments.
- Certification or degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or other, with experience related to project management or equivalent.
- PMP certification is an asset, but is not essential.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in managing working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- High energy individual, with ability to self-motivate and motivate a team towards a solution-oriented accountability culture.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a variety of audiences: fluent written and oral English is mandatory.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficient with relevant business and project management software including MS Project.
Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.
