Director, FP&A and Procurement (Full Time) - Mississauga, ON
This is an existing position with a starting salary of $145,000/year.
Job Scope Reporting to the VP Finance Canada, this position is responsible for FP&A activities, business intelligence and procurement functions for Canada
Key Accountabilities FP&A
- Responsible for leading the FP&A processes for Linde Canada
- Accountable for the consolidation of monthly, quarterly, annual variance analysis of budgeted, forecasted, and actual financial performance
- Provides analysis and communication of key performance indicators and trends.
- Direct and advises management team on financial forecasting and business analysis.
- Main interface with Linde Corporate FP&A team and accountable for meeting all corporate reporting requirements.
- Responsible for the overall coordination of the annual planning cycle for all Canadian business units including
- Development of planning cycle timeline
- Development / maintenance of budgeting environments used for plan consolidation and analysis Development / maintenance of financial models analyzing plan submissions in terms of financial trends
- Creation of effective senior leadership reporting packages
- Performance trend analysis
- Driving continuous improvement of internal financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes, developing forecasting templates and tools, automating processes and enhancing reporting system capabilities and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures.
- 1 direct and 1 indirect report
Business Intelligence
- Accountable for planning, creating, and maintaining BI tools for Linde Canada
- Develop and execute strategy and vision for business reporting moving from low level lagging reporting to dynamic leading indicator reporting.
- Lead and champion Linde financial data policies in relation to business reporting needs.
- 1 direct report
Procurement
- Lead Canada procurement function.
- Responsible for strategy and execution of the Canada procurement function ensuring that all sourcing activities deliver optimum value, maintain compliance and support the business’ operational and financial objectives
- Accountable for the development, maintenance, and compliance with Linde Canada procurement policies.
- Accountable for delivering overall procurement savings targets in collaboration with Americas procurement and Canada business partners
- 1 direct and 8 indirect reports
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate – Finance or Accounting, Professional designation (CPA CA, CPA CMA) and /or MBA
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive Accounting and Finance experience
- Minimum of 05 years experience in managerial roles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel; PowerPoint
- Intermediate knowledge of Hyperion, OBIEE, JD Edwards, Microsoft Power BI is preferred
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact at all levels withing the organization
- Proven track records of managing, developing and coaching team members
- Strong ability to influence people not within your direct employees in order to deliver results
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong project management skills and change management skills
