Join Beacon Community Services as a part-time Housekeeper, an important member of the team that helps maintain the cleanliness at Parry Place Assisted Living. Days/Hours of Work: Tuesday and Wednesday 10:30 am to 4:00pm and Thursday 8:00 am to 1:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting the Manager, the housekeeper is responsible for daily cleaning for residents at Parry Place L Assisted Living. This position provides housekeeping to assigned common areas and resident rooms and participates in the maintenance of a safe, sanitary workplace. The Housekeeper also reports resident concerns, building emergencies and maintenance required to the manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean resident suites, bedlinen and towels
- Clean staff bathrooms (4 in total)
- Wash site’s cleaning towel and floor pads
- Wipe and sanitize common areas in Assisted Living
- Garbage and recycling collection and disposal
- Clean entryway and elevator
- Spot clean floors as needed
- Dust common areas
- Other relevant duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma
- Previous housekeeping experience
- Experience in working with Seniors in an Assisted Living or Residential Care setting is considered an asset
- Valid FOODSAFE Certification
- Current First Aid Certification
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively manage time to complete tasks within schedule shift
- Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, empathy, patience and concern in providing quality service
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
- Ability to use housekeeping tools such as laundry machines, vacuum cleaners etc.
- Skilled in the use of MS 365 (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
