Position Details
The University Secretariat Office is seeking a full-time, continuing position as a Governance Analyst.
The University Governance Analyst position is to assist in managing the critical governance work of the University Secretariat Office (USO). The Governance Analyst is primarily responsible for management of governance materials for primary governing bodies and sub committees of the Board of Governors, and General Faculties Council along with Statutory Dean’s Council which serves as the advisory body for both. In addition, ensuring the appropriate role and information for Senate is also within the purview of this position.
The Governance Analyst is responsible for writing and working with Director, University Secretariat and appropriate Senior Administrators and impacted departments to prepare and review documents for presentation to governing bodies to ensure appropriate alignment. The Governance Analyst works on developing all USO governing documents and assisting in implementing work plans and orientations and working to ensure all governing body chairs and members are well supported and prepared to fulfill their legislated duties.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.
Position Qualifications

At a minimum an undergraduate degree with 3-5 years experience in: Governance, Parliamentarian Procedure, Policy and/or Legislation. Preference to those with governance/parliamentarian designations.

A valid unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s License with no more than 6 demerits and submission of a motor vehicle record (driver abstract) dated within 3 months of the posting close is required.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$65,153.16 - $81,963.08 annually
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$65,153.16 - $98,772.99 annually (APO - Grade 3)
