APPLIED BEHAVIOUR ANALYSIS (ABA) FACILITATOR (temporary)

The ABA Facilitator position is itinerant, and the successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Behaviour Analyst within an interdisciplinary team. This position utilizes a Behaviour Skills Training (BST) model directly supporting school teams.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs)
  • Based on data collection, use ABA principles to develop strategies focused on reducing interfering behaviour and providing replacement/skill acquisition programming
  • Implement BST- Coaching, Modeling, Rehearsal, Feedback on programming and data
  • Responsible for creating behavioural programming and running targeted groups for students
  • Present behaviour programs to school teams and families
  • Frontline behaviour intervention
  • Provide Professional Development (PD) to large staff groups

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Successful completion of an Autism and Behavioural Sciences diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Undergraduate degree/diploma in ABA, education and or special needs related field
  • Experience working within a clinical or educational setting with children and or youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or challenging behaviour
  • Comprehension and adherence of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour A Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) standards and practices
  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Access to own vehicle for travel and occasional flexible hours

TEMPORARY FULL TIME POSITION.

HOURS: Daytime work hours (8:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m.) with flexibility for some evenings
