Job Description Summary The Manager Production Quality leads the quality function to ensure all products and projects meet performance, reliability, and sustainability standards. The Quality Manager focuses on process quality through standard work, visual instructions, LPA (layered process audits), validation of new products (NPI) and continuous improvement, driving capability, yield, and quality-by-design integration across operations. Job Description Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end quality lifecycle—ensuring new products are designed for excellence through Control Plan development, while simultaneously driving operational stability and continuous improvement on the production floor. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to develop PFMEAs and validation plans. Ensure and lead compliance with International Management standards (e.g., ISO9001/27001/CSA) for product and process validation. Drive root cause and corrective action (8D, DMAIC) for internal and field quality issues. Implement reliability testing protocols and lessons-learned integration into design improvements. Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and process capability (Cp, Cpk) studies. Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce scrap, rework, and test failures. Collaborate with suppliers to improve process capability and defect prevention. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in reducing Cost of Poor Quality across the business. Act as a Subject Matter Expert in managing Audits and Documentation. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial/Automation Engineering. 5–7 years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing (Assembly, integration, and testing) processes. Demonstrated experience in implementing or managing automated quality systems and data-driven AI applications in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of ISO, UL, and CSA standards. Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and reliability validation. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred. Core Competencies Technical problem-solving and root cause analysis. Proficiency in robotic integration and digital quality infrastructure. Process capability and yield improvement. Data analysis and statistical control tools. Cross-functional collaboration and NPI support. Continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma mindset For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between 89,000 and 134.000 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
