The Opportunity:
The PSP Support Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of patient enrollment into the patient support program, special authorizations, program doses, and service coordination for patients who have been prescribed the drug by physicians. The PSP Support Manager will provide drug coverage support to physicians and patients, follow up on submissions on obtaining coverage through private and provincial drug plans, ensure patients have access to their prescribed treatments on time, and provide continuous support for patients through excellent communication skills and available program resources to ensure patients have access to their prescribed therapy.
A Day in the Life (What you will do here):
- Maintains office injection and injection supplies inventory by checking stock and determining inventory levels, anticipating medication needs, storing assigned patient medications, placing medication orders, and verifying their receipt
- Reconciles medication uses post-clinic, and reassigns medication when appropriate
- Completes and submits information when required to obtain coverage of medication through patient support programs and insurance providers
- Collaborates with the pharmacy to understand patient's medication coverage as needed
- Promotes and maintains proper patient relations and patient confidentiality
- Supports patient enrolment into patient support programs for Retina
- Schedule patients for appointments
- Liaise with patients via phone and email
- Perform various clinic administrative and clerical tasks, as required
- Work within clinic databases and computer programs to complete administrative tasks and functions
- Additional duties as assigned by the Manager

- Experience in ophthalmology an asset.
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple priorities
- Handle highly confidential information
- Be highly adaptable, willing to learn and have excellent people skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
