About the role

**Location:**Calgary (On-Site) |Department: Delivery & Operations |Type: Full-Time

Company: Moby, a division of Western Fibre Communications Corp.

Industry: Telecommunications

About Us

Moby is an independent fibre optic telecommunications provider delivering high-speed Internet, TV, and Home Phone services, with a strong focus in Alberta and the potential to support nationally. We are not a reseller of incumbent carriers - we design, deploy, and operate our own fibre optic infrastructure.

Finally, an alternative.

About The Role

Moby is a fast-growing telecommunications and ISP company delivering fibre and wireless connectivity across MDU residential, commercial, and hospitality segments. Our delivery engine spans the full lifecycle, from sales handoff through field execution and customer activation across an active and expanding project portfolio.

We are looking for a Delivery Manager to own the day-to-day execution of our infrastructure project portfolio. This is a hands-on project delivery role:**you will manage active deployments, drive milestone completion, coordinate field and vendor resources, and keep stakeholders informed.**As you find your footing, you will also contribute to the operational scaling work that supports a growing national footprint, helping build the systems and processes that let the team deliver more without adding friction

What You’ll Own

Project Delivery — Primary Focus

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned infrastructure projects: MDU fibre/COAX deployments, point-to-point wireless installs, and commercial/hospitality activations.
  • Manage project timelines, milestone tracking, and delivery risk across a portfolio of parallel active sites.
  • Coordinate between field technicians, the warehouse, property managers, and customers to keep projects moving.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation: SOWs, materials lists, status updates, and handoff records.
  • Run project communications — proactive customer updates, building manager correspondence, and escalation notices — with professionalism and clarity.
  • Conduct or support site assessments, QC reviews, and project closeouts.

Operational Scaling — Contributing Focus

  • Support the Delivery Leader in building and refining the operational infrastructure that underpins project delivery: process documentation, recurring reporting, and program tracking.
  • Maintain operational trackers and program artifacts (Excel/Odoo) and keep them current.
  • Identify coordination gaps, recurring friction points, or process inefficiencies and bring forward practical solutions.
  • Contribute to internal program workstreams (e.g., systems rollouts, KPI reporting) as bandwidth allows.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience managing projects or deployments in a field-delivery, infrastructure, or technically complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects without losing the thread on any of them.
  • Strong written communication skills: customer-facing and internal correspondence that is professional, clear, and concise.
  • Proficiency in Excel for project tracking, status reporting, and structured data management.
  • Comfortable working with field teams, external vendors, and property stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Self-directed — able to identify what needs to happen next and act on it without waiting to be told.

Strong Asset

  • Background in telecommunications, ISP, construction, or infrastructure-adjacent industries.
  • Experience with Odoo, Salesforce, or similar project/CRM platforms.
  • Exposure to SOW documentation, permitting, or technical scoping processes.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or data reporting workflows.
  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management credential.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 30 days, you have a clear picture of the active project portfolio, the tool stack, and how the field team operates. You are running project communications, tracking milestones, and handling day-to-day coordination with minimal handholding.

By 90 days, your projects are tracking cleanly, stakeholders are getting proactive updates, and you are bringing problems forward with proposed solutions rather than just flags.

At 6 months, you are a trusted delivery lead on the team — running your portfolio independently, contributing meaningfully to how we scale operations, and raising the quality bar on everything you touch.

Why You'll Love Working at Moby

In addition to a competitive compensation and benefits package, you’ll enjoy a culture built on tenacity, collaboration, trust, growth, and having a good time doin’ it. We offer hands-on exposure to a wide range of delivery and infrastructure challenges, a collaborative team environment, and real opportunity to grow with the company.

We love our people, so we invest in regular team events, development sessions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Here’s what the Moby team says:

  • “The flexibility is real. I can work from home, manage my day, and still feel totally supported.”
  • “Zero micro-management. They trust me to deliver and that makes me want to deliver even more.”
  • “You actually get to build things here. If you have an idea, you can take it from concept to launch.”
  • “It’s exciting working for a disruptor. We’re taking on industry giants and making real noise.”
  • “Moby is a karaoke company!”

Growth, collaboration, tenacity, and innovation - that’s the Moby way.

To apply, please submit your resume and a brief note on what draws you to this role.
