Youth Development Coach - Permanent - Full-time
About the role
Foothills School Division is currently seeking a Youth Development Coach to join our Foothills Composite High School team.
The Youth Development Coach is a school-based role that assists in supporting the positive development of student behaviour and social/emotional learning. The Coach assists in the design and implementation of coordinated behaviour management programs by supplying leadership and assistance to staff and students. The improvement of students' self-concept and the development of social skills in individual students or within entire classes are each a strong focus of the program. The ability to foster good working relationship with parents and community is critical.
To prepare for this role, you have a diploma in Child & Youth Care, or a combination of related post-secondary training and experience working with children and youth who are at risk.
Following the school calendar, hours of work are 32.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) Monday to Friday.
