Job Description Summary

Basic Purpose

Account management responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing reports. Account Executives are responsible for responding to client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. This includes actively attending client meetings, preparing agenda and minutes as well as managing conflicts and negotiations.

Ultimately, a successful Account Executive should keep our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services.

Scope

The Account Executive role will be responsible for a specific number of clients within KJA’s Canadian portfolio.

Reporting and Working Relationships

Reporting to Director of Sales and Service, working with other Account Executives and Consultants as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Attend client meetings, prepare agenda, lead calls and prepare meeting minutes as needed
  • Assist with challenging client requests, manage conflict and negotiations or issue escalations as needed.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Prepare reports on account status
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales and Service to identify and grow opportunities within territory

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Remote work
  • Ability to drive (for client meetings as needed) is an asset
  • Ideally the successful candidate should be located within the GTA

Travel

5% travel. Travel to client meetings/buildings may be required from time to time. Within the GTA. Attend monthly office meetings.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as an Account Executive, Key Account Executive, Sales Account Executive, Junior Account Executive or other relevant role
  • Solid experience with MS Outlook, Office and MS Excel
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
  • Experience working with elevator and escalators
  • Experience working in property management / real estate

  • Proven organization skills and ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including superior listening and presentation skills
