POSITION: School Psychologist
ASSIGNMENT: Psychologist - Resource - All Grades or Levels
FTE: 1.0
**LOCATION: District Administration Office **
**EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2025 and continuing **
**Basic Qualifications: **The successful candidate will hold a Master's Degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology or equivalent and recent successful experience as a School Psychologist. Certification as a teacher would be an asset.
**Training Specialization: **Master's Degree in School Psychology and/or Educational Psychology
**Related Teaching Experience: **Not required for this posting
**A Reasonable Expectation: **based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.
**Additional Qualifications: **Registrant of the College of Psychologists of BC
**Other: **
- Training and recent experience in providing psych-educational assessments for students (Level C as per Ministry guidelines)
- Proven experience in the development of positive, collaborative and consultative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and other staff
- Knowledge and skills in the identification procedures and program planning for students with diverse needs including ASD; other development disorders, learning disabilities and behavioural disorders
- The ability to write clear and effective reports with appropriate school-based recommendations
- The ability to provide school-based in-service to teachers and other staff members
- Current knowledge and strategies for the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills to students experiencing learning difficulties
- The ability to assist school personnel in the writing of effective CB - IEPs
- Be a strong advocate for students with special needs and students with different learning needs
- The ability to use technology effectively and efficiently
- Valid BC Driver's License and appropriate means of transportation
The annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
