ERP Developer – Dynamics 365 & Power Platform

As a valued member of our global Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) within Four Seasons, this role is part of a multi-stack technical services team responsible for delivering and supporting all global finance technology solutions, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O). A successful candidate may specialize in one core competency—such as DevOps and build management, configuration management, or Power Platform and Lifecycle Services administration—but is expected to contribute across all aspects of platform engineering and administration. Candidates with experience spanning multiple competency areas are strongly encouraged to apply. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative, enterprise-scale solutions in a dynamic environment, ensuring stability, scalability, and continuous improvement for a global user base. Key responsibilities include:

F&O DevOps and Build Management : Ownership of build pipelines, code management, regression testing, and upgrade execution using Azure DevOps and automation tools.

Configuration Management : Focused on system setup, workflows, performance optimization, banking integrations, and security compliance within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

Power Platform and Lifecycle Services Management: Responsible for environment governance, data integrations with Azure Synapse and Data Lake, PowerApps development, and endpoint management for enterprise integrations.

This role is based in the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Platform Owner, ERP. This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.

What You Will Be Doing:

F&O DevOps / Build Management

  • Build Pipeline Ownership: Configure pipelines for builds and deployable packages.
  • Development & Build Process: Manage code compilation, package generation, and deployment across sandbox and production environments following Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) best practices.
  • Code Management: Maintain version control for code, extensions, and customizations.
  • ISV & In-house Customizations: Integrate ISV solutions (e.g., Docentric, SKSoft) and manage custom extensions.
  • Regression Testing: Implement automated test cases for F&O.
  • Upgrades: Plan and execute updates, including pre-validation and post-deployment checks.
  • Azure DevOps (ADO) Ownership: Manage work items, repositories, and release pipelines specific to D365 F&O projects.
  • Document and maintain technical and functional knowledge. Collaborate with engineering teams to capture processes, best practices, and updates for ongoing platform operations.

Configuration Management

  • System Configuration in D365 F&O: Maintain parameters, legal entity setups, and module-specific configurations (Finance, Procurement, GL/AP/AR).
  • Batch Processing: Configure and monitor batch jobs for financial postings, settlements, and periodic processes.
  • Workflow Management: Implement and maintain approval workflows for purchasing, expense, and financial transactions.
  • Docentric AX Integration/Extension.
  • Performance & Scalability: Optimize performance, troubleshoot slow queries, and ensure high availability.
  • Report and Cheque Printing: Configure and maintain check printing processes and Direct Remittance Advice within F&O in a complex distributed environment.
  • Bank Integrations (SKSoft / Kyriba): Manage electronic banking setups, payment formats, and treasury integrations.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and operationalise role-based security and segregation of duties within F&O.
  • Hands on experience with global scale internal and external user management processes

Power Platform & LCS Management

  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee environment topology, service updates, and monitoring via Lifecycle Services.
  • Manage Power Platform Admin Center and Dataverse integrations for F&O data.
  • Data Integrations: Configure Synapse and Data Lake for exporting F&O data to analytics platforms.
  • PowerApps Development: Build and maintain proprietary, hospitality industry specific apps to extend F&O functionality.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimalizations: Design and implement application performance analysis dashboards in Azure Application Insight for proactive system health monitoring.
  • Data & Custom Services: Secure and manage Data endpoints and custom service integrations for F&O.
  • Integration Endpoints: Maintain all endpoints for ESB, API and other ERP integrations with F&O.

What Your Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical role working with Dynamics 365 F&O
  • Deep technical expertise in Dynamics 365 F&O configuration, security, performance, and deployment.
  • Development Excellence: Strong command of X++ for customizations and solution extensions.
  • Proficiency in related technologies: SQL, .NET C#, Power Platform, , Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, migration, integration techniques, and systems integration patterns.

Technical Skills Required

  • Azure DevOps (version control, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Data Entities, Data Migration Framework (DMF), OData integrations
  • Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), Dataverse
  • Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions for workflow automation
  • Azure Synapse, Azure Fabric and Data Lake
  • Docentric and SSRS report writing experience
  • C#, Python and React coding

Required Education and Certifications

  • College or University degree
  • MB-500 - Microsoft Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week at our temporary 20 York Mills Road, Toronto, Ontario location with travel, as needed, to the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
