POSITION SUMMARY
ThePreconstruction Proposal Coordinatorsupports the pursuit of new work by coordinating, developing, and delivering high‑quality proposals, qualifications, and presentation materials. This role partners closely with Estimating, Business Development, Marketing, and Operations to ensure proposals are compliant, compelling, and submitted accurately and on time. The Proposal Coordinator plays a key role in managing pursuit schedules, organizing content, and maintaining consistency with company branding and messaging.
The Preconstruction Proposal Coordinator is a key contributor to winning work, ensuring that the firm’s technical expertise, value proposition, and differentiators are clearly communicated to clients during the pursuit phase.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate the end-to-end proposal process for RFQs, RFPs, SOQs, and interview presentations

Develop and manage proposal schedules, deadlines, and deliverables

Ensure compliance with client requirements, instructions, and submission criteria

Track pursuits and maintain proposal status logs and calendars

Draft, edit, and format proposal sections including, company qualifications, project approaches and execution plans, preconstruction and estimating methodologies, safety, quality, and sustainability narratives.

Support with compiling proposals and preparing final submissions, ensuring on-time delivery.

Track win/loss data and assist with post-pursuit debriefs

Support continuous improvement of proposal processes and templates.

Additional duties as required by the manager.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

3–5 years of experience in proposal coordination, marketing, or preconstruction support (construction industry preferred)

Strong written, editing, and organizational skills
-
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
-
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
-
Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, and diplomatically. Experience in construction, engineering, or architecture firms

Familiarity with preconstruction and estimating terminology

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Understanding of RFQ/RFP procurement processes
-
Ability to collaborate with technical and executive teams

- Base salary is $80,000 - $100,000, dependent on candidate job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
