At Sidekick, our mission is to accelerate the recovery journey for people dealing with chronic injuries. Our award-winning physical therapy tools are trusted by Olympic medalists, pro athletes, and featured in outlets like Men’s Health , Running Magazine , and Ultrarunning Magazine .
As we scale, we’re looking for a Head of Customer Education who can transform how we educate people about injury recovery. You will lead initiatives that distill complex physio concepts into simple, actionable guidance that empowers customers to use our products confidently and effectively.
This role is ideal for someone with a marketing background who knows how to communicate clearly and persuasively, and ideally has some grounding in physiotherapy or injury rehabilitation. Above all, you should be a teacher at heart who can translate complexity into clarity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead Education Programs : Spearhead new initiatives that help customers before and after purchase, ensuring they understand their injuries and how to use our products effectively.
- Revamp Digital Content : Transform our website, social media, and emails into the go-to source for clear, actionable injury education.
- Position Customer Support : Make support an education-first experience where every interaction builds trust and delivers value.
- Elevate Brand Promise : Put our commitment to injury support front and center across all customer touchpoints.
- Collaborate Across Teams : Work with product, operations, and marketing teams to ensure educational clarity in every channel.
- Track and Optimize : Measure and refine initiatives to improve adoption, retention, and satisfaction.
Success in 3 Months
- Launch New Programs : At least one pre- or post-purchase education initiative is live and measurably improving customer understanding.
- Revamp Core Flows : Website and email journeys are more education-focused and customer-friendly.
- Reposition Support : Customer support is now operating as an education-first experience.
- Boost Engagement : Customers are engaging more deeply with content because it clearly helps them address their injuries.
About You
- Bring Marketing Expertise : 5+ years in marketing, content strategy, or customer education (DTC or eComm a bonus).
- Simplify Complex Ideas : Proven ability to distill complex concepts into simple, engaging content that drives action.
- Leverage Physio Knowledge : Ideally some background in physiotherapy, kinesiology, or injury rehab, but stronger on marketing and communication.
- Build Education Programs : Experience creating customer education initiatives across web, email, social, and post-purchase flows.
- Use Data to Improve : Understand how education impacts loyalty, LTV, and brand trust, and apply data to refine strategy.
- Stay Customer-Obsessed : Creative, proactive, and always focused on what will help customers actually get better.
