Role Description We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of five (5) years of post-certification experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems while ensuring all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and commissioning solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including grid-tied, battery backup, off-grid, and hybrid energy systems. Experience with energy storage systems, inverters, and system troubleshooting is essential. Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of electricity principles and safe electrical practices. 5 Plus years of experience as a Journeyperson Solar system experience Hands-on experience with electrical work, including installation of wiring, fixtures, panels, and related components. Maintenance & repair skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical system issues efficiently. Troubleshooting abilities to identify root causes of electrical problems and implement effective solutions. Understanding of basic electrical engineering concepts relevant to fieldwork and system design. Valid electrician certification or ticket appropriate for British Columbia, and familiarity with local electrical codes. Ability to use hand and power tools safely, and operate testing equipment such as multimeters. Good communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew. Physical ability to perform manual tasks, work at heights or in confined spaces, and follow all safety procedures. Previous experience in residential or commercial electrical projects in Canada is an asset.
