The company is a full-service contractor specializing in epoxy, polyurethane and resinous floor coatings, concrete polishing, resurfacing, crack injections, slab stabilization and lifting, and waterproofing sealants/coatings for vehicular and pedestrian traffic-bearing surfaces across Canada. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Concrete Painter to join our Calgary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional results on every project.
As a Concrete Painter, you will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: Follow management instructions in reading and interpreting job orders. Interact with designers in order to provide a desirable result. Prepare concrete surfaces for application of decorative materials. Mix and apply concrete stains, acids and dyes to surfaces according to specification. Clean, grind and repair cracks, voids and surface imperfections before conducting general finishing, and, if needed, implement pre-emptive steps to ensure long-lasting colour application. Conduct custom painting tasks as approved by management or as per architectural directives. Secure proper safety measures, i.e. ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment in accordance with safety protocols and site specific requirements. Prepare and submit weekly job progress reports to the management. Qualifications: Secondary School Diploma At least 2 years of experience in concrete decorative painting, concrete natural stone staining, acid colouring and dyes Strong understanding of concrete staining techniques Experience in using different methods and equipment for concrete dyes “solvent and water based” Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grade plans, maps, drawings and specifications Team player, client focused and adaptable to a variety of projects and environments Ability to handle heavy reasonable loads, as work is physically demanding Proficient knowledge of English Compensation: Permanent, Full-time position Occasional shift and weekend work may be required $36.00 per hour for 30 to 35 hours per week Overtime may be required and will be paid at 1.5 of your regular hourly rate after 44 hours per week Extended Health, Dental and Vision Care Benefits Life Insurance Office Location: 153 Seton Villas SE, Calgary, AB T3M 2L3 Job Location: Various sites throughout the Calgary area How to apply: Please apply by email to appliedflooring.hr@outlook.com with your resume and indicate “Concrete Painter” in the Subject line.
