Position Highlights
As a key member of the Enterprise Collaboration Solutions team, the IT Advisor will lead the adoption, governance, and

strategic use of Microsoft Power Platform, with a dedicated focus on Power Apps and Power Automate. This role is

responsible for enabling business process automation, improving operational efficiency, and supporting digital

transformation initiatives through low-code/no-code solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with business

stakeholders, Tier-3 support teams, and external partners to deliver secure, scalable, and impactful solutions aligned with

organizational goals

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business units to gather and translate requirements into Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.

  • Design, prototype, and deliver automation workflows and custom applications that demonstrate business value.

  • Provide strategic guidance on Power Platform capabilities, roadmap alignment, and feature adoption.

  • Act as the primary IT advisor for Power Apps and Power Automate services, including enhancement planning and vendor

coordination.

  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, standards, and governance models for Power Platform solutions.

  • Facilitate community engagement with external vendors and internal stakeholders to promote innovation and best

practices.

  • Support business case development for Power Platform initiatives and enhancements.

  • Monitor and manage the lifecycle of Power Platform assets, including feature reviews and roadmap planning.

  • Managing the roadmap (asset plan) for enhancements

  • Review new features

  • Supporting additional features not yet within our landscape

  • External Vendor community facilitation

  • Write BC for M365 Services (eg Collaborations FY Enhancements WP)

  • Act as IT Advisor for M365 services

  • Roadmap Ownership & Enhancement Planning

  • Maintain and evolve the Power Platform roadmap, focusing on Power Apps and Power Automate capabilities.

  • Evaluate new features released by Microsoft and assess their relevance and potential impact on the organization.

  • Identify opportunities to introduce additional Power Platform features not yet adopted internally.

  • Solution Advisory & Business Engagement

  • Act as the primary IT advisor for Power Apps and Power Automate, guiding business units on solution design, feasibility,

and best practices.

  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to understand business challenges and identify automation opportunities.
  • Support the development of business cases for Power Platform initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis and alignment

with strategic goals.

  • Governance & Operational Oversight
  • Define and enforce governance standards for Power Platform usage, including data security, access control, and lifecycle

management.

  • Ensure operational documentation, SOPs, and support models are in place to reduce risk and improve efficiency.

  • Monitor platform usage and performance, identifying trends and areas for optimization.

  • Vendor & Community Engagement

  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners to support solution development, platform enhancements, and training

initiatives.

  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing and collaboration across internal Power Platform user communities.

  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve platform adoption and maturity.

  • Feature Review & Adoption Support

  • Conduct regular reviews of new Power Apps and Power Automate features, assessing readiness for deployment.

  • Lead pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives to validate new capabilities.

  • Provide training, onboarding, and enablement support to business users and citizen developers.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g., Cognitive Systems, Software

Engineering, etc.). A combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a senior business analyst/developer on complex initiatives.

  • Proven expertise in governing Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Apps and Power Automate.

  • Experience delivering solutions in large, complex organizations with diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset.

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is an asset

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
  • Deep understanding of business process automation and low-code development.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with varying complexity.
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and results orientation.
  • Skilled in translating business needs into technical solutions using Power Platform tools.
