The Opportunity

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Manager, Accounting is responsible for all areas enabling timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting workflow process improvement, and pursuing special projects.

You Will

• Managing all aspects of accounting functions including period-end closing, financial statements preparation and accounts reconciliation.
• Examining and analyzing accounting and financial records, documents, and system to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls.
• Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures and streamlining management & business practices to improve quality of financial information.
• Managing both internal and external financial, stewardship and related compliance reviews and audits.
• Supporting the execution of department & company goals, and other related projects and initiatives.
• Identifying & evaluating opportunities on workflow process improvement to enhance efficiency.
• Supporting the US expansion in relation to accounting & tax, banking, inventory, product movement, auditing, process, and system enhancement.
• Other ad hoc duties and assignments as assigned.

You Should Have / Be

• Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related disciplines.

• Accounting designation (or working towards) is highly preferred.

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in an accounting environment.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory / management role is an asset.

• Extensive experience with general ledger functions and the period-end / year-end close process.

• Accuracy and attention to details, taking ownership with critical thinking.

• Energetic and influential leader with aptitude to embrace change and passion to strive for excellency & integrity for success.

• Advanced Microsoft applications with excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.

• Ability to communicate in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an asset.

Shift

5-day work week (Monday to Friday), 9:00am – 5:30pm (Actual working hours may vary slightly by department, depending on operational needs.)
