THE CLIENT

We are partnering with a leading global real estate investment management firm to recruit an Accounting Manager for their Vancouver office. The organization manages tens of billions in assets under management (AUM) and operates across North America, Europe, and Asia, working with major institutional investors worldwide.

This role sits within the Corporate Accounting team and will be responsible for financial reporting and full-cycle accounting for several international subsidiaries across Europe and Asia, while partnering closely with global finance teams.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounting Manager will play a key role in month-end close, consolidated reporting, and financial analysis for international entities. The role also provides the opportunity to mentor junior team members and support process improvements within a global finance function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for several subsidiaries across Europe and Asia, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and internal reporting standards.
• Prepare consolidated financial reporting packages for submission to the parent company, ensuring information is complete and delivered within reporting deadlines.
• Oversee and review month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Review work prepared by Senior Accountants, including financial reporting packages, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support transfer pricing entries and coordination of tax information across multiple entities.
• Partner with business unit leaders and global finance teams to provide financial reporting, analysis, and ad hoc support.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting team members while identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• CPA designation
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
• Experience with multi-entity reporting or consolidations
• Advanced Excel skills is an asset. Experience with Yardi, Elevate, or Concur is beneficial
• Real estate or asset management experience is an asset
