Kingston Health Sciences Centre, ranked in the top 25 research facilities in Canada, is an Academic Health Centre affiliated with Queen's University and partnered with many other Universities and Colleges in the training and education of Nursing and Health Sciences candidates across the country.
As a member of the Medicine Nursing Team, you will be assigned to one of our 7 units with over 200 inpatient beds with a variety of complex medical needs focusing in specialty areas such as nephrology, neurology, stroke care, geriatrics and respirology. As a practitioner of General Medicine Nursing, you will be providing care to a large cross section of patients giving you exposure and expertise in your practice that can only be accomplished within the General Medicine field - whether you are a new nurse starting out or an experienced nurse our Orientation and Onboarding will ensure you are set up for success to be the best nurse you can be for our patients.
Within this role the Registered Practical Nurse is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the Kingston Health Sciences Centre strategy. As an employee, one must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.
