ABOUT THE ROLE
CCG Cyber World is looking for a Full-Stack Developer to help build, maintain, and expand CCG Cyber Academy, a hands-on cybersecurity education platform. You will work across the front end, back end, database, and infrastructure while helping create reliable interactive labs and technical learning experiences. You will also maintain existing features, resolve technical issues, improve performance, and support the continued growth of the platform. This role is ideal for someone with strong full-stack development experience who is also interested in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, technical education, and interactive training environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain front-end and back-end platform features
- Build responsive dashboards, administrative tools, and user workflows
- Create and maintain interactive cybersecurity labs and technical challenges
- Integrate APIs, authentication systems, databases, and background services
- Maintain existing features and troubleshoot technical issues
- Improve platform security, reliability, performance, and scalability
- Help develop competitions, events, progression systems, and gamification features
- Build internal tools that make it easier to create and manage future learning content
- Test new features and ensure they work reliably in production
- Review technical requirements and recommend practical solutions
- Maintain organized code and clear technical documentation
- Work directly with the founder to plan and deliver platform improvements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong professional experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with React, Next.js, or a similar front-end framework
- Experience developing Node.js APIs and back-end services
- Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs
- Experience using Git and GitHub development workflows
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure development practices
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver reliable production-ready work
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Docker and Linux environments
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and application deployment
- Experience creating cybersecurity labs, CTF challenges, cyber ranges, or technical training environments
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and secure coding practices
- Experience with Redis, job queues, background workers, or scheduled processes
- Experience building SaaS, education, or gamified platforms
- Familiarity with temporary or isolated user environments
- Experience with infrastructure automation, monitoring, and application security
- A portfolio or GitHub profile demonstrating relevant development work
Candidates do not need to meet every preferred qualification. Strong developers who are genuinely interested in cybersecurity and willing to expand their technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate can do more than complete assigned development tickets. You should be able to understand the product vision, identify technical risks, recommend practical solutions, and independently turn ideas into secure and reliable features. We are looking for someone interested in taking long-term ownership of the platform, continuously improving it, maintaining existing systems, and helping create new cybersecurity learning experiences as CCG Cyber Academy grows.
