Founded in 1901, Hillfield Strathallan College (HSC) offers a seamless academic journey from 18 months to 18 years. Registered Early Childhood Educator - Contract - Montessori School

We are currently recruiting for a Registered Early Childhood Educator to start immediately in our Montessori School, until the end of August 2026. This is a 12 month position as we have summer programming. Please note that this contract is covering a leave and could be extended depending on the needs of the school.

Position Overview:

Join our team of passionate educators dedicated to providing exceptional care and education to young children. As an Early Childhood Educator (ECE), you will collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver programs that enhance children's cognitive, physical, social, spiritual, and emotional development. Your creativity, empathy, and expertise will make a difference in the lives of children and families.

Under the Direction of the Principal, the early childhood educator will partner with other RECE’s to plan and implement a full day learning program within a Toddler classroom setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment
  • Instill a love of learning
  • Ensure positive and professional communications with faculty, staff and families
  • Take a proactive approach to health and safety

Qualifications:

  • 2 year community college Early Childhood Education Diploma with experience in a childcare or educational setting;
  • Montessori Training and experience considered an asset
  • Member in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators;
  • Experience working with toddlers and preschool aged children;
  • Experience in planning and implementing age appropriate programs;
  • Knowledge of the Childcare & Early Years Act
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, staff and the general public;
  • Valid First Aid/CPR and immunization records
