About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Community Staff Nurse to join the Mid & Upper Nithsdale Community Nursing Team in delivering quality nursing care to housebound patients 24 hrs per day.

This is a fixed term post for 9 months from 9 February 2026 until 8 November 2026.

As part of this role, you will be working within an ever changing environment, alongside colleagues in the multidisciplinary Home Team, including Allied Health Professionals, Social Services & Public Health Improvement. The Home Team is integral to our Health and Social Care Partnership.

This post will involve clinic and home visits in remote and rural areas. A current driving licence/able to travel independently around the region often to locations outwith public transport routes/times is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence, consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
