About the role
Background Are you looking to launch your career in business development and partnerships within Ontario's innovation ecosystem?
Boundless Business Consulting (BBC) is the consulting arm of Boundless Accelerator, a Regional Innovation Centre helping Ontario SMEs ($1M-$20M revenue) grow through execution-focused business strategy, sales strategy, and marketing consulting. We've supported over 1,000 SMEs and secured $10.3M in funding, and we're now expanding through strategic partnerships and new service offerings.
We're hiring a Business Development & Administrative Coordinator to help power that growth, supporting BBC's shift toward a diversified revenue model that includes partnerships, subscriptions, and expanded services. This position begins as a 12-month contract, with potential to transition into a full-time permanent role based on performance and organizational needs.
What you'll do This role spans four key areas:
Business development and administrative support, where you'll create templates and tools to support BD initiatives, maintain partnership and proposal documentation, prepare social media updates, coordinate event logistics for information sessions and networking events, and support the Director of Growth & Partnerships and other Program Managers as needed.
Sales pipeline and lead generation, where you'll work in our CRM to identify and prioritize opportunities, conduct prospect research and qualification, support outbound campaigns across LinkedIn and email, coordinate discovery call bookings and proposal follow-ups, and monitor chamber RFP boards and industry association opportunities.
Partnership development and management, where you'll help build and maintain relationships with community, innovation, and industry partners and funders across Ontario, track referrals and conversion rates, coordinate partner onboarding and quarterly reviews, support co-marketing materials and partnership communications, and help organize joint ecosystem events and roundtables.
Market intelligence and reporting, where you'll track industry trends and SME pain points related to tariffs, talent shortages, digital transformation, and ESG, compile pipeline reports and monthly KPI dashboards, and support quarterly business reviews and member communications.
What you bring A post-secondary degree or certificate in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. You're highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team, with strong research and analytical skills.
It's a bonus if you have CRM experience, familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar tools, an interest in entrepreneurship or small business consulting, some understanding of Ontario's innovation ecosystem, or experience with event coordination or partnership management.
Why join us You'll gain hands-on experience in business development and strategic partnerships, exposure to a wide range of high-growth Ontario SMEs, and mentorship from experienced former founders and operators.
You'll build your professional network across Ontario's innovation ecosystem while working in a collaborative, mission-driven team. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage, disability insurance, an employee assistance program, RRSP matching, paid time off, and a flexible hybrid schedule.
If you're excited to grow your career in business development, partnerships, and innovation ecosystems while supporting entrepreneurs driving real innovative and economic impact across Ontario - we'd love to hear from you.
