Duration: 12-month contract with potential extensions

Background
Our financial client is undertaking a large-scale initiative to migrate three major on-premises databases to a cloud-based environment. This program interacts with both new and existing backend APIs and is currently in Sprint 0, with potential integration into an established Agile delivery pod. The Business Systems Analyst will support requirements gathering, system analysis, and cross-functional alignment within the Sales & Service Modernization team, which drives transformation across personal and business banking.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst experience within enterprise or financial environments.
- Strong experience with backend systems, APIs, and large database/data-migration initiatives.
- Solid understanding of Agile delivery, including Sprint 0 activities, backlog refinement, and user story creation.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications with clear documentation.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business/technical requirements for cloud migration of three major databases.
- Analyze current-state workflows, data structures, and API interactions; support future-state architecture definition.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and cloud teams to ensure clear integration and dependency alignment.
- Support Sprint 0 activities, backlog creation, user stories, and readiness for Agile delivery pods.
- Prepare UAT documentation, validate requirements, and support change-management and modernization initiatives.
