About the role
The Billing Coordinator is responsible for creating pre-invoices for daily billing, PO Requests, revisions, invoices, cost tracking per episode or project, client correspondence and troubleshooting. This role required strong organizational skills, time management, communication, and customer service skills. This position requires independent and collaborative work abilities with our clients, team, and other departments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Responsibilities:

Responsible for updating and maintaining work orders daily to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Create pre-invoices and send them to the client based on the agreed upon timeframe.

Partner and collaborate with the production team, producers, and the sales team to research and
resolve billing discrepancies, clarify missing information, and ensure all items are accurately capture before invoicing.

Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, answering questions and addressing concerns regarding billing in a timely manner.

Responsible for following up with clients on purchase orders (PO) requests and approvals.
-
Manage and process final invoices per client requests, ensuring proper distribution and documentation according to the client’s instructions.
-
Responsible for follow up on past dues and collections as needed.

Create, update, and maintain episodic tracking excel spreadsheets for assigned shows.
-
Primary owner for all ad hoc reports/research as requested by finance, clients, and the sales team.

Review and address weekly billing status reports.

Assist with preparing and reconciling month-end billing data.

Ensure all billing is closed out accurately for financial reporting.

Other duties as assigned and/or needed

Sets up new client accounts across billing and scheduling platforms, and handles credit applications Tracks and issues tax credit labour letters for BC operations
Required Skills:

General knowledge of the operations and practices of the company and a working knowledge of post production processes and terms

Thorough knowledge of finance and accounting procedures.

Excellent written and verbal skills with a high level of attention to detail, with a client service mindset.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, and experience with financial or ERP software.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School education or equivalent required.
- Experience in a finance or billing role a plus.
