Portfolio Reporting & Analytics Lead (North Coast Reporting Lead)

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid
Annual salary: $ 127,900.00 - 161,800.00
Position Highlights
* Act as the Reporting Lead for the North Coast Portfolio (the Portfolio).

You can summarize complex analysis and information into to something meaningful for verbal and visual which are
customized to audience either senior management or external stakeholders.
- You are responsible for communications of reports and insights to senior leaders and other stakeholders. You are very
comfortable communicating your portfolio analysis findings to senior audiences.
- You are comfortable collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders and can act as a project manager in the
reporting world to drive the team to achieve on-time delivery of reporting deliverables.

You are proactive and willing to take on unplanned challenges and adaptable to changing priorities.

You possess a broad mind with a desire to learn and grasp new and complex problems quickly, particularly where no
precedent exists.
What you'll do
-
Act as the Reporting Lead for the North Coast portfolio (the Portfolio).
-
Lead the development and sustainment of the reporting strategy and program (practices / processes) for the Portfolio with
input from project teams and key stakeholders (internal and external).
- Lead and/or facilitate the development of key reports as per the reporting strategy which include reports to governance
bodies, the Board, senior management, project teams, and First Nation partners (accordance with our First Nation
agreements).

Publish monthly and quarterly summary reports of ongoing results, and prepare other ad-hoc reports as requested.

Communicate summary results of analysis findings to project teams and senior leaders, and other audiences as needed.

Perform portfolio level analysis on projects performance using advanced functionality of MS Excel or other analytical tools.

When needed, extract project performance data from multiple source systems through running reports in SAP-Business
Warehouse – this includes key attributes around costs, milestones, change items, deficiencies, labour resources, risks, and
related information.
- Engage with Project Managers and project team members to obtain information and insights into project performance, and
ability to ask questions and probe to find meaningful explanations.

Collaborate with other teams across Project Delivery and other KBUs to obtain information, insights and report updates.

Prepare and present high quality written reports that articulate finding in a very visual and easily understandable manner.

Make recommendations about remedies to systematic portfolio issues (working closely with the Risk Manager) uncovered
via analysis, communicates findings to broad group of stakeholders in written form.
What you bring
- A university degree or professional designation or diploma in a relevant field such as Project Management, Risk
Management, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Science, or similar discipline.
- 8 to10 years of relevant work experience, which must include demonstrated capabilities in projects/program reporting,
communications and reporting, project management, and/or advanced data analytics.
- Multi-tasking capabilities, strategic thinking and detailed oriented on critical data/information, strong written and verbal
communication skillset.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize to manage the work and achieve deadlines.

Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
-
Strong presentation, communication and coordination abilities, with ability to summarize data to visually tell a story.
The following skills/capabilities would be considered assets:

Understanding of Primavera P6 and basic project scheduling

Accessing data using SAP Business Warehouse (SAP-BW)

Understanding of project management principles and overall project lifecycle
-
A professional designation such as Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Project Management Professional (PMP), or other
relevant designations

Maintain a valid Driver’s License, Type Class 5
-
Candidates with less experience or skillset may be hired in a lower level role.
