About the role
Job Title: Supplier Quality Specialist
Location: Toronto, ON Fully onsite @ Supplier
Mobility: Need to be open to travel regularly. Depending on the supplier
Key Skills Required Citizenship requirements: Must be Canadian Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident of Canada
- ASQ certification, 6 sigma
- Experience in Quality Assurance
- Aerospace experience
- Demonstrated problem solving capability. High pressure environment.
- Project management skills in quality.
- Root cause analysis
Requirements
- Perform source inspection at the supplier to evaluate the quality of systems components
- Lead quality review with suppliers
- Request detailed corrective actions to the supplier for repetitive issues
- Evaluate the overall quality supplier performance
- Initiate corrective actions request for repetitive issues
- Provide visibility on the open actions & follow-up (Powerpoint presentation) to management
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in supplier quality and/or quality assurance
- Experience in the Aerospace industry (preferred)
- Strong leadership, problem solving, flexibility and project management skills
- Experience with supplier intervention
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in French and English
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Flexible, available and you are able to travel locally and internationally, sometimes with short notice
