About the role
JOB SUMMARY
As a BI Developer, you will play an active role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative BI solutions using the Microsoft Fabric platform. You will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and data experts to develop business intelligence reports that support strategic decision-making through reliable, relevant, and easily accessible data.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Participate in the architecture, modeling, and end-to-end development of BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric and its components (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, etc.).
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports that support decision-making.
- Optimize the performance of BI solutions, including managing Fabric capacity usage costs.
- Ensure data ingestion, transformation, and quality from various sources (SAP ECC, SAP CAR, flat files, etc.).
- Collaborate with business teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of analytics practices and tools during the transition to Microsoft Fabric.
- Document developed solutions and provide technical support to users.
- Contribute to the implementation of best practices in data governance and security.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience (8+ years) in BI development within the Azure environment (experience with Microsoft Fabric is an asset).
- In-depth knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query, etc.
- Strong data modeling skills (star schema, snowflake schema, etc.).
- Experience with data transformation tools (ETL/ELT) in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of SAP BW and SAP ECC is a major asset.
- Knowledge of Python and Spark is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Autonomy, rigor, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills to explain BI solutions to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written (Spanish is an asset).
