We are seeking a Plant Services Manager to lead our Plant team in Toronto. This key role ensures the effective management, maintenance, and performance of VSL’s specialised equipment, both locally and on overseas projects.

Your Mission As Plant Services Manager, You Will

  • Lead the Plant and Equipment function for VSL Canada, ensuring compliance with technical and QHSE standards.
  • Guarantee that production teams receive safe, reliable, and well-maintained equipment to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, from planning to execution, across both workshop and site operations.
  • Coordinate procurement, stock control, and logistics to ensure seamless delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Supervise equipment preparation, testing, and commissioning for major projects.
  • Provide technical support for equipment selection, configuration, and optimisation in challenging site conditions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by proposing enhancements in equipment performance and reliability.
  • Manage and mentor your team, fostering training and skills development.

Profile Sought Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in construction projects, including 5 years in a Plant or Equipment management role.
  • Proven track record managing hydraulic and mechanical equipment, with direct experience in Launching Gantry and specialised post-tensioning equipment maintenance.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong technical background in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Experience in procurement and logistics processes.
  • Familiarity with Bouygues Construction QHSE standards.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate diverse teams.

Other Requirements

  • Based in Toronto, with periodic travel to site projects across Canada and overseas.
  • Eligible to work in Canada at the time of application.

Your Team

  • Reports to: Profit Centre Manager (operational) & VSL Group Plant Director (functional)
  • Supervises: Plant Officer, Site Mechanic Superintendents, Workshop Supervisors, Procurement Officer
