About the role:
Reporting to the Director, Mortgage Business Support this position will be responsible for supporting the Planning & Analysis for the Mortgage Lending business line.
The Manager, Mortgage Financial Planning & Analysis will serve as the finance business partner for Mortgages, which includes various Residential and Commercial lending products. The individual will support the Director and the business teams in Planning, Forecasting and Management Reporting and Analysis activities. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset along with strong technical foundation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) activities including the Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecasts for the business line. This includes Loan, Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Capital Modelling.
- Support the management team for the Mortgage Business to develop and maintain tracking of key business drivers and product contribution margin for key business segments.
- Lead business performance and variance analysis, including key business metrics, income statement, balance sheet, and regulatory metrics.
- Participate in the Annual Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process which includes conducting various stress tests and scenario tests.
- Develop understanding of Mortgage business Operating Expenses, including volume driven expenses.
- Work closely with business partners and financial reporting team to prepare management reporting packages and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Champion a strong data-driven environment, providing fact-based strategic insight to business partners to identify risks and recommendations to improve future business performance.

What we’re looking for:
- Finance / Accounting designation (MBA, CPA/CMA, CFA)
- 5+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting
- 3+ years Financial Services industry experience
- Strong financial modelling capabilities with experience creating robust financial plans, forecasts, and projections
- Previous experience coordinating rigorous forecasting and planning cycles and corresponding outputs
- Relevant financial institution experience including management and OSFI regulatory reporting, understanding of capital requirements
- Previous experience in Financial Services, focusing on personal lending, would be an asset
- Strong business and process acumen, with ability to analyze strategic requirements, create innovative solutions, and develop action plans
- Experience in developing financial models and dashboards within industry Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI, Alteryx, Anaplan) would be an asset
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly collaborative, hands-on approach

- Expected base salary range is $95 000.00 - $120 000.00 per year, plus the opportunity to earn an annual incentive bonus tied to performance.
