DXP/HSE Integrated is currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join our team. This position can be based out of any of our office locations, including:
Fort McMurray AB, Grande Prairie AB, Red Deer AB, Calgary AB, Edmonton AB, Dartmouth NS, Mount Pearl NL, Sarnia ON, Windsor ON, Hamilton ON
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in the collaborative processing of payroll for over 400 employees across Canada—ensuring timely and accurate execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle processing of multiple payrolls on weekly and bi-weekly schedules, including unionized payrolls (approximately 400 employees)
- Accurately enter and audit employee data in payroll systems
- Ensure all employee changes are entered correctly and promptly; verify proper authorization for changes
- Import hourly time data for payroll processing
- Provide payroll and benefits support to employees and respond to related inquiries
- Assist the team with processing additional payrolls and supporting related tasks
- Process and remit garnishments in compliance with legal requirements
- Reconcile third-party payments, including CRA remittances
- Assist with year-end processing and reporting requirements
- Participate in special projects as assigned by the Payroll Manager
- Perform other duties and projects as directed by the Payroll Manager
Required Qualifications

Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and Workday is an asset

Minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll

A combination of payroll and benefits education or equivalent experience will be considered

Strong team player with a professional, cooperative attitude

Excellent analytical and communication skills

Solid understanding of full-cycle payroll processing

Proficient in MS Office and payroll systems/software

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Experience with multi-provincial WCB is a strong asset
