About the role
Overview We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with diverse patrons while showcasing your skills in food and drink service, POS systems, and hospitality. Prior experience in restaurant or food service environments is highly valued, along with a commitment to food safety and responsible alcohol serving practices.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Greet guests warmly, take drink orders, and serve beverages in a timely manner while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and adherence to food safety regulations during all stages of service.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering, processing payments, and giving accurate change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces, following health and safety guidelines.
- Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-serving.
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with opening or closing duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy hours and special events.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry environment is preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Superior customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Basic math skills for cashiering tasks including cash handling, making change, and calculating tabs accurately.
- Experience in hospitality or food service industries that demonstrates reliability, teamwork, and adaptability is advantageous. This role offers an engaging work environment where your hospitality skills can shine while ensuring guests have memorable experiences through excellent service.
Pay: $17.60 per hour
