Workday Integration Architect

What you will do:
- Design and own end-to-end Workday integration architecture, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and long-term maintainability.
- Lead integration strategy and design decisions, including inbound/outbound patterns, middleware usage, error handling, monitoring, and reusability.
- Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical integration designs aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Serve as the technical authority for Workday integrations throughout the full lifecycle (strategy, design, build, test, deploy, and support).
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to integration developers, reviewing designs, code, and configurations to ensure architectural integrity.
- Partner with Workday Functional Leads, enterprise architects, security teams, and third-party vendors to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Lead architecture discussions with client technical stakeholders and executives, articulating design trade-offs and recommendations.
- Establish and contribute to integration standards, patterns, documentation, and governance models.
- Support solution design across multiple Workday modules and external systems.
- Mentor and coach consultants and managers, supporting capability growth within the practice.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field.
- Strong experience designing and leading Workday integration solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise across Workday integration technologies: EIB, Core & Cloud Connectors, PICOF/PECI, Workday Studio, BIRT, custom reports, and calculated fields.
- Solid technical background in REST & SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, JSON, WSDL, Web Services, Java, and/or .NET.
- Proven ability to design secure, scalable, and resilient integration architectures.
- Experience with middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services) is an asset.
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership experience across solution governance and team mentorship.
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $192,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $179,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
