With roots in Newfoundland, this organization has been growing rapidly since their inception by focusing on attracting the best people and servicing various sectors within the construction and mining worlds. Largely involved in pre-construction, this group offers unparalleled expertise to the entire geotechnical and environmental spectrum; from planning and investigation, to execution and quality control. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Mentoring of Junior Staff
- Supervision of Field & Laboratory Testing and Inspection
- Business Development
- Proposal Preparation
- Budget creation and monitoring
- Client care and communication
About You
We’re looking for business leaders more than engineering specialists and that means an emphasis on leadership capabilities more than certifications; If you’re currently working with a Consultancy, GC, or Developer, but understand the Geotechnical, Material, and Environmental world and would want to learn where this opportunity could take you in your career, we’d love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Strength in relationship-building and client management
- The ability to identify and inspire talent within your team
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to build something bigger than yourself.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- The drive and ability to succeed with minimal guidance
- Demonstrable critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- A reliable and dependable style of working
- Integrity and the ability to cope well under pressure
- Knowledge of the geotechnical, materials and/or environmental engineering industry
