Job Overview

Process all administration work in the Credit Administration Department related to the FirstOntario Credit Union's suite of credit products with a high level of efficiency to provide superior service to the retail network. The Credit Administration Clerk will be required to work with all external suppliers.

Role

  • Work with the credit administration team to ensure maximum efficiency in support of service delivery to the branches
  • Process credit related work for retail lending products with accuracy and efficiency
  • Adhere to FirstOntario audit and control policies, procedures in accordance with our Service Level Agreements
  • Provide credit administration support to all areas within the organization
  • Process, monitor and follow upon all work accurately, promptly and fully from beginning to end
  • Program/input all required data and documentation as required into reports, internal and external systems,
  • Compile required documentation and correspondence to fulfill the credit needs of the organization
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments
  • Communicate in a fashion that is respectful and well understood
  • Build and utilize working relationships with internal business partners across the organization and external contacts
  • Maintain and encourage open and honest business relationships within the team and throughout the credit union
  • Consider healthsafety as a primary concern to ensure the overall wellbeing of self and others
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 4 years office credit union/banking experience
  • Must complete job-related courses in CU training
  • Must be capable of working as a team player, willing to assist other staff as required
  • Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in working with operations issues
  • Be quick to respond to requests for support and service
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Inherently demonstrate a high level of integrity and be trustworthy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take action in difficult and challenging situations and deal with uncertainty
  • Be aware of and mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and procedures
  • Be open to flexible work hours as required
