Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Part-Time Student Clerk at our Agro Centre in Nipawin, Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Agro Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Ensure safety is held to the highest priority while maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Load and unload feed, oil and grease, and other Agro products; maintain cleanliness, rotation, storage and order of merchandise in the yard, compound and storage areas.
  • Perform hydraulic hose and belt repairs.
  • Assist with receiving ordering, operating point of sale systems, conducting inventory counts and maintaining yard and building areas all while completing the required paperwork based on department standards.
  • Adhere to the Safety Management and Asset Protection systems, policies, procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Agriculture and:

  • You have a passion and willingness to learn about production agriculture.
  • You are well organized, able to work unsupervised, and able to plan and organize your own work.
  • You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You have point of sale experience and have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment.
  • Ability to fulfill physical job requirements; manual labour is required including pushing, pulling, crouching and lifting.
  • You must be willing and able to achieve WHMIS and TDG certifications.
  • You must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
  • You have a flexible work schedule including weekends and evenings.
  • You must have a valid Class 5 licence and be willing to obtain a forklift operators certificate.
