About the Role:

To collect, record and balance daily revenue at your pool. To ensure the safety and cleanliness of the washrooms, change rooms, cash booth, front foyer, front of pool facility (sidewalk, etc.). To oversee all general programs and ensure the safety and cleanliness of the Pool. Ensure all Supervision and Admission Requirements are enforced.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Set up and work in front foyer or cash booth.
  • Assist with set up and take down of pool deck.
  • Maintain headcount for patrons in poo areal, monitor volume, entry and access to pool
  • Responsible for prompt and courteous customer service
  • Daily cash handling, managing float, and cash closing procedures
  • Assist with set-up/take-down of display tables when required.
  • Prepare special event posters/banners when required.
  • Adhere to emergency response procedures, and assist if needed.
  • Contribute to a positive, motivated, energetic and enthusiastic work environment.
  • Promote and enable safe and enjoyable experiences for participants and guests of the facility through effective customer service.
  • E ducate the public with respect to water safety and City policies and procedures.
  • Represent the City of St. Catharines with a high level of professionalism.
  • Understand and follow all applicable facility, aquatic, municipal policy and procedures, including Health and Safety, to ensure the aquatic facility remains safe, clean and healthy.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested.

What's Required:

  • Standard First Aid and CPR C (valid for three (3) years from the date of issue)
  • HIGH FIVE® The Principles of Healthy Childhood Development
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance valid for two (2) years from the date of issue
  • A professional and enthusiastic employee who embraces a service-minded approach.
  • Must be willing to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Lifeguard (valid for two (2) years from the date of issue)
  • Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor (valid for two (2) years from the date of issue)
