Millwright
Hamilton, ON | $42 to $48/hr | Full Time
If you're a Millwright who's tired of being just a number in a massive plant, this one is worth a look. A state of the art beverage manufacturer in Hamilton with a fast-paced, creative production environment is adding a Industrial Millwright to the maintenance team, someone who can keep production and packaging lines running, solve problems on the fly, and take real ownership of equipment reliability.
What you'll be doing
Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing production and packaging equipment: conveyors, fillers, labelers, tray packers, canning and kegging lines, pumps, motors, gearboxes Supporting preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance programs Reading blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to plan your work Hands-on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and fabrication work Assisting with equipment installs, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects Working closely with production, quality, and sanitation teams Completing work orders and maintenance documentation, and helping train operators on pre-start checks and minor PMs
What they're looking for
Valid Industrial Millwright licence (Ontario 433A preferred, apprentices considered depending on experience) 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, food, beverage, packaging, or automated production Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills across rotating equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics Welding, fabrication, and piping experience Experience with fillers, labelers, canning or kegging lines is a strong asset PLC and electrical troubleshooting is a bonus, not a requirement Comfortable with GMP, food safety, and lockout/tagout standards Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
The details
$42 to $48/hr Weekly rotating shifts: days (6:45am to 2:45pm) and afternoons (3pm to 11pm) Health and dental benefits Product perk program Training and development opportunities Weekend overtime and on-call support as required
