Director of Financial Services
The Town of Osoyoos (Town) seeks an experienced financial professional with management experience to join our senior leadership team as the Director of Financial Services. Located in the southernmost area of the Okanagan Valley, the Town has a growing population of approximately 6,000. Osoyoos is a resort municipality renowned for its stunning desert landscapes, water- based activities, orchards, vineyards, and golf courses. The Director of Financial Services is a senior management position responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of the financial operations of the municipality. This position fulfills the statutory obligations of the Financial Officer under the Community Charter and ensures compliance with all applicable local government legislation and public sector accounting standards.
The position provides financial stewardship, policy guidance, and operational direction across key financial functions, including budgeting, accounting, reporting, taxation, investment, debt management, asset management and procurement. The Director of Financial Services is a member of the senior leadership team and contributes to corporate-wide planning, risk management, and long-term financial sustainability. The preferred candidate will possess:

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation (required).

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.

Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible financial management experience, preferably in the local government or broader public sector.

Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial reporting, asset management, and treasury operations.
This executive position has a salary range of $129,324 to $152,145 (2025) and offers a competitive benefits package.
