Job Summary

Works as part of a highly collaborative cross functional Agile/SCRUM team to implement new business system needs, as well as make modifications and fix defects in existing code. Responsibilities include analyzing user stories, application design, developing user interface layouts, writing code for both the front-end and back-end of the applications, developing and executing test scripts, fixing defects and supporting applications in production.

This position is telework eligible and offers a hybrid work schedule, based on agency and department needs. Scheduled in-office workdays will be at the PERA office, 60 Empire Drive, Suite 200, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Candidates residing in Minnesota within 50 miles of our St Paul office may be eligible to telework up to 50%. Candidates residing in Minnesota and more than 50 miles from our office may be eligible to telework more than 50%. Candidates residing in a bordering state within 50 miles of our office may be eligible to telework up to 50%. Candidates who do not reside in Minnesota or within 50 miles of the office in a state bordering Minnesota are not eligible to be hired, unless planning to relocate within 50 miles of the office or report to the office full time.

Minimum Qualifications

Three (3) years of recent experience in software development.

Years of experience and education must clearly demonstrate the following

Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle

Experience with all of the following: ASP.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Web Development Knowledge of source control systems Communication skills sufficient to support the needs of other IT Services staff, and interact with agency staff using non-technical language Analytical skills to determine effective approaches to business solutions Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, who do not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Automated testing experience with Tricentis Tosca

Microsoft SQL Server CI/CD automation with Jenkins or Microsoft DevOps Experience with GitHub Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery Experience with .Net Core Experience integrating with one or more of the following service technologies: REST, SOAP, WCF, GRPC, Web API
