Education: Master's degree. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Private practice. Public or community health centre. Tasks: Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team. Coordinate patient care. Evaluate patient care and progress. Implement an interdisciplinary plan of care. Advise patients on health care. Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health. Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures. Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories. Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases. Provide health maintenance education. Provide personal care. Design and implement health and wellness projects or programs.
