Faculty/Department Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance Unit Media, Art, and Performance-Music Employee Group URFA CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Sessional Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary

A high-level ensemble open to musicians from the Music Department, the university and the wider community (audition may be required). The University Orchestra performs challenging works in a wide range of styles and eras. Each semester it presents a full concert in the University Theatre.

Position Requirements

The successful candidate should possess a Master’s degree in conducting or demonstrate extensive work and teaching experience with Orchestra or Wind Band and have an active profile of teaching wind band at a local and provincial level. University teaching experience and experience in conducting university-level ensembles is preferred.

Must reside in Canada.

MUEN 171-001/003 is currently scheduled for Tuesdays from 1930-2120 – on campus for the Winter 2026.
