WILDERNESS & WILDLIFE CONSERVATION
***Now Hiring – Door Canvassers
in Vancouver*** Concerned about old-growth forests, endangered species and climate change?
The Wilderness Committee is currently accepting applications to join our Door Canvass team. Our canvass works in residential neighbourhoods of Vancouver to raise awareness of our campaigns and fundraise to support this work.
This is an excellent opportunity to build your communication skills and become confident in community engagement.
- Hours are approximately 3:15pm to 9:15pm weekdays
- Weekend shifts are also available
- Full-time and part-time
Canvassers are paid by shift (approx. 6 hours) and pay is between $104.40 and $276 a shift, based upon performance. Average pay is between $120-$150/shift. Qualifications NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Full training is provided.
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Concern for wilderness and wildlife
- Outgoing, positive, dedicated
- Well organized with an eye for detail
- Willing to participate in ongoing education and skill-building
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Full Training Is Provided. The Wilderness Committee is committed to employment equity as an ongoing process.
