About the role
The Senior Investor Relations Associate will support the investor relations team in executing client IR programs and day-to-day account activities. This role involves assisting with investor communications, market research, reporting support, meeting coordination, and administrative management across a range of investor relations initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
-Client Support: Assist in the preparation of materials for client meetings, earnings calls, investor presentations, and other investor-facing activities. Support day-to-day client deliverables and help track timelines and follow-ups. -Communication: Draft and help distribute investor communications, including meeting materials, presentation updates, news releases, email correspondence, and social media content where applicable. Monitor and route inbound investor inquiries and support timely responses. -Investor and Analyst Support: Assist in maintaining strong relationships with investors, analysts, and other market participants by helping coordinate outreach, meetings, and follow-up materials. Support the preparation of investor profiles, call notes, and engagement tracking. -Financial Reporting Support: Help prepare and organize quarterly and annual reporting materials, earnings support documents, fact sheets, FAQs, and other recurring IR materials. Public-company IR roles commonly involve supporting earnings materials and disclosure-related documentation. -Project Coordination: Support the organization of investor meetings, conferences, non-deal roadshows, webinars, and related events, including scheduling, logistics, presentation materials, attendee tracking, and follow-up. -Market Research: Conduct peer benchmarking, trading analysis, analyst monitoring, and general market research to support client strategy and investor messaging. Prepare summaries and reports for senior team members. -Database and Administrative Management: Maintain investor databases, CRM records, contact lists, calendars, and deal rooms, ensuring information is accurate, current, and handled confidentially. CRM and engagement tracking are a consistent part of junior and associate-level IR roles. -Regulatory and Process Support: Assist the team in preparing materials in alignment with applicable disclosure standards, internal approval processes, and confidentiality requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Economics, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in investor relations, capital markets, communications, corporate access, or a related professional services environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Familiarity with the mining industry is an asset.
- Experience maintaining databases, CRM systems, or investor records.
