We are seeking a dynamic and business-savvy Senior Power Platform Developer to join our team. This role emphasizes the development, support, and enhancement of critical Audit Operations Apps. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, combining development expertise with product ownership and stakeholder engagement.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and deploy solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Provide critical support for all Audit Operations Apps, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security
- Assist in the development of key Audit Operations tools and resources such as automated reports, letters and templates, content management redesigns to streamline user navigation, and other Audit transformation initiatives
- Build and integrate custom connectors, APIs, and automation workflows for audit and business processes
- Develop code using Databricks and Python for advanced data processing and analytics
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, interpret, and translate requirements into intelligent automation solutions
- Support the full lifecycle of solution delivery from ideation and prototyping to deployment and maintenance
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards
- Draft technical documentation and perform user training for deployed solutions
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, security, and SoQM review protocols
- Design feedback solutions for newly implemented tools to facilitate a timely and meaningful feedback process
- Experience developing and optimizing workflows using Alteryx for data transformation and analytics would be an asset
This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders nationally in our English speaking provinces while at KPMG.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage business users and technical teams alike
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and agile development environments
- Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to take initiative and ownership of outcomes
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to self-review
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers, conduct thorough code and solution reviews, and uphold industry best practices in the industry
- Experience in implementing Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategies to support robust development processes and ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of solution
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Canvas, Model-Driven, Portals)
- Experience integrating Power Apps with custom APIs
- Proficiency working with databases using Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Development and solutioning experience in SharePoint Online with a focus on integration with Power Platform
- Strong understanding of Dataverse, APIs, connectors, and integration strategies
- Programming proficiency with Databricks and Python
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Proficiency in Alteryx and/or certifications such as PL-200, PL-400, or relevant Microsoft credentials are both considered assets
KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $111,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
